In this second installment of the sea-life series, the artist shifts from the midnight depths to the high noon surface. A sleek, powerful shark is rendered in bold geometric  lines upon a natural sun dollar, its form leaping across the bone-white calcium. The piece features a bed of vivid blue stones at the base, grounding the predator in its crystalline habitat, while a hole sun-spirit swatches from the upper corner It is a study of power and light, capturing the moment a shadow breaks the surface to meet the sun.
